"Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him."

Deuteronomy 13:4

We don't get to heaven by keeping God's commandments.

Heaven is a free gift of God to all who believe ON Jesus Christ and TURN from going their own direction, to going HIS direction.

We are saved by faith, not of ourselves. If we could get to Heaven just by being good, there would have been no reason for Jesus to died on the cross in our place.

But once we turn from doing it our way, to His way, we will WANT to OBEY Him and WANT to Keep His Commandments and WANT to Cleave to Him.

This is a good test to know if you are really saved. If you feel like u HAVE to keep God's laws but don't WANT to, this may be an indication that you don't have a relationship with him.

Salvation is by Faith in Christ alone. (But it's more than just believing he exists ... since the devil believes he exists too.)

" For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

Ephesians 2:8-9
