As the Lord led the Israelites out of Egypt and into the wilderness, so has He led His children out of their old lives under the bondage of sin and into the wilderness of freedom and faith.
As I have traveled through these spiritual barren lands for the past 5 years, it has been easy to forget His provisions and complain, much like our Israelite forefathers. Yet, as He had faithfully taken care of all of their essential needs, He has and is faithfully taking care of me even to this day.
Looking back, I now understand why He sometimes allowed me to hunger, be uncomfortable, and realize my weaknesses—so that His Word may become my only source of food and life. Only then, would I live life more abundantly in Jesus.
