5th February 2021 - David's 3rd vow of praise.
We now consider those who have stood by David, those "who have cone to his defence". so far in this Psalm David has focused on the enemies, the wicked - those who havevtried to thwart the purposes of God. But now we see David's motivation in asking God to deal with them.... so that God gets all the praise. We consider those who stood by David.... Ittai the Gititte, and 600 men from Gath, Zadok and Abithar, their sons Jonathan and Ahimaaz, Hushai and Ziba. All came to David's defence.... and now, its time to give God praise..... and for David to proclaim God's righteousness .. God's right way of doing things.
