From President Trump’s recent comments about trying to earn heaven, to wokeness, apocalyptic environmentalism, sexual liberation, prosperity teaching and even subtle “Jesus plus” gospels such as, the fitness gospel, we see how easily good things can be twisted into means of justification. Only the true gospel of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus alone frees us from the fear of death, forgives our sins, and gives us eternal life.
