Ephesians chapter 2 revealed the authority of Christ in relationship to what the Ephesian Gentiles did for their salvation. Ephesians chapter 3 reveal's Paul's authority to preach the truth (that which the Gentiles obeyed). Paul's object is to infuse the Gentile saints with confidence in their salvation in the face of false teaching in Ephesus.
