Of salvation Jesus taught "with men this is impossible" (Matthew 19:26) but on the day of Pentecost the apostle Peter taught "save yourselves from this untoward generation." (Acts 2:37) If both of these statements have reference to eternal salvation then we have a bald logical contradiction on our hands.
