The word of God must be rightly divided to be properly understood. That approach at times means that what one might regard as the "plain meaning" of a particular text may actually be the wrong interpretation of that passage. Only when a passage is properly reconciled with the bible's full testimony on a given topic can it be said to be rightly divided. This short video demonstrates the common error of "plain meaningism" that misunderstands Paul's statements in Romans 10:9 regarding confession and belief as prerequisites for saving grace rather than evidentiary fruits of saving grace.
