Unforgiveness, for anything, becomes a boundary and a limit in your life—it walls you off. But when you forgive, you’re set free. Have you ever been angry at someone, and they didn’t notice? Doesn’t that make you even angrier?  Well, there are people who have spent years of their life angry, embittered, and filled with resentment and hatred. Church, forgive! We need to cultivate the response of forgiveness. It’s a decision to say, “Lord, I want to cancel that debt marker. They own me nothing, not even telling me that they’re sorry.” You see, our motivation for responding with forgiveness is compelling. Jesus said, “If you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins” (Matthew 6:14-15 NIV®️). So, forgiveness really is not optional. Choose to forgive.
