TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL:
As we come to the end of the Lord’s Prayer, in Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, you might expect: for yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever amen.

But it doesn’t. Instead Jesus teaches again on the importance of us forgiving one another.
He says in Matthew 6:14-15:

14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Now, we have already seen previously that we do not need to earn God’s forgiveness. This is a prayer which starts, Our Father in heaven. Because this is a prayer for people who are already forgiven - beloved children - part of God’s kingdom. So what does Jesus mean by it?
