Tonight we are in Genesis beginning at chapter 25:12 and getting through chapter 26 and parts of 27.

When you read through this section you can't help but notice God uses people who are very flawed to bring about His will and purpose. We must recognize the bible is not written to make it look like those whom God used were perfect. In fact the opposite is true.

People love to make themselves of great reputation, but a simple examination of any human will show our flaws and should cause us to conclude there is a need for God to lead and guide. It is a wonderful thing to consider how God has dealt with man and so He has preserved for us a record of those dealings, both in their success and failings.

God had already made His promise to Abraham and in these chapters we see the beginnings of His plans come to fruition. This is the history which leads to the nation from which our Messiah, Jesus came. It is not just any history, it is the history which leads to eternal life.
