Salt is absolutely indispensable to life. Jesus says our lives are to point people to Jesus who is the way, the truth, and the life. Light is absolutely indispensable to life. Let the sun stop shining and soon even the heart of the ocean would be frozen solid. Without Jesus, this world would be a cold and dead place. Our job as salt and light is to point people to Jesus who alone can bring abundant and spiritual life.
