We are tempted to either elevate marriage above being single or to elevate being single above being married, but Paul says our ultimate goal and pursuit is to do the will of God. Whether we are married or single, our ultimate focus is not to be earthly circumstances which are passing away, but heavenly priorities which are eternal.
