Romans 3:10-20 - We’ve ALL fallen short!
10-Rom.3.12" class="scriptRef">Romans 3:10-12 NLT - 10 As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous— not even one. 11 No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God. 12 All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one.”
Psalm 14:1-3 NLT (Psalm 53:1-3) - The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good. 2 The LORD looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God. 3 All have turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.
Eccl. 7:20 NIV - Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous, no one who does what is right and never sins.
13" class="scriptRef">Romans 3:13 NLT - 13 “Their talk is foul, like the stench from an open grave. (death, rotting flesh) Their tongues are filled with lies.” (Satan is the Father of all lies) “Snake venom drips from their lips.” (Reference to Satan.)
Psalm 5:9 NIV - Not a word from their mouth can be trusted; their heart is filled with malice. (A desire to do evil) Their throat is an open grave; with their tongues they tell lies.
14" class="scriptRef">Romans 3:14 NLT - 14 “Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”
Psalm 10:7 NLT - Their mouths are full of cursing, lies, and threats. Trouble and evil are on the tips of their tongues.
15-Rom.3.17" class="scriptRef">Romans 3:15-17 NLT - 15 “They rush to commit murder. 16 Destruction and misery always follow them. 17 They don’t know where to find peace.”
Isaiah 59:7-8 NLT - Their feet run to do evil, and they rush to commit murder. They think only about sinning. Misery and destruction always follow them. 8 They don’t know where to find peace or what it means to be just and good. They have mapped out crooked roads, and no one who follows them knows a moment’s peace.
18" class="scriptRef">Romans 3:18 NLT - 18 “They have no fear of God at all.”
Psalm 36:1 NLT - Sin whispers to the wicked, deep within their hearts. They have no fear of God at all.
7Galatians 5:19-21 NLT - 19 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, (lack of self-control) 20 idolatry, (worship of idols, gods) sorcery, (witchcraft) hostility (hatred), quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, (stirring up trouble, dividing, causing others to be mad at one another.) 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 NLT - You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. 2 For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. 3 They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. 4 They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. 5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!
19-Rom.3.20" class="scriptRef">Romans 3:19-20 NLT – 19 Obviously, the law applies to those to whom it was given, for its purpose is to keep people from having excuses, and to show that the entire world is guilty before God. 20 For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are
21-Rom.3.23" class="scriptRef">Romans 3:21-23 NLT - 21 But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. 22 We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. 23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.
