Sermon Points

For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death. (2 Cor 7:10, esv)

Real guilt dealt with real grace = gospel filtered guilt.

1. “ when I fall ” (v.8)

2. “ because I have sinned against him. ” (v.9)

3. “ Rejoice not over me, O my enemy; ” (v.8)  

4. “ I will bear the indignation of the LORD ” (v.9)

5. “ My God will hear me. ” (v.7)  

6. “ I will wait for the God of my salvation; ” (v.7)  

7. “ when I sit in darkness,
the Lord will be a light to me. ” (v.8)

8. “ until he pleads my cause ” (v.9)

9. “ and executes judgement for me. ” (v.9) 

10. “ He will bring me out to the light;
I shall look upon his vindication. ” (v.9)
