HEBREWS WEEK: 9
Text: Hebrews 2:9-13
In verse 9 it states that Jesus was made lower than the angels so that He can suffer and taste death for everyone.
How does that make you feel?
How should we respond to Christ’s sacrifice for us?
In your own translation, what does it mean that He might “taste death for everyone”?
In the spiritual realm, there is no death or suffering, meaning that death is unique to the physical realm.
How did Jesus render Satan powerless through death, an act only possible through human flesh?
What does that mean for us?
Has there been an instance where you had to step down and serve others?
How did this experience affect your perspective of serving?
In light of Jesus’s sacrifice, will we make sacrifices for other people?
Will we humble ourselves to serve them even when it is difficult or when we don’t feel like it?
