Grace is often defined as unmerited favor, but many are unaware of a different aspect of grace pertaining to divine enablement/empowerment. Hebrews 4:16 tells us that we must come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 10 teaches us that we can go boldly before the throne of God because of the blood of Jesus. We can't receive this grace by approaching God with an understanding of our own good works as the reason we can approach boldly. It's only by the blood of Jesus! We should also not look at our lack of "good works" as a reason to not approach the throne with boldness.
