What does the Word of God say about the Sabbath? Is the Sabbath on a Saturday or a Sunday? Do we keep the Sabbath under the New Covenant today by not doing any physical work on that day? These are just some of the questions many people have with regards to the Sabbath. Please join me in this video series as we take a deeper look into God's Word and learn what God is telling us about the Sabbath day and entering His rest. We must remember we are to enter God's rest! God created everything in 6 days and when His work was finished, He rested on the 7th day. The 7th day is eternal and not just one day of the week. God rested when His work was completed, never to begin creating again. That's the same rest that we must enter. The New Testament opens up to us how we actually enter that eternal rest when we obey the gospel and cease from our own dead works under the law to try and earn our righteousness. All our righteousness is as filthy rags in God's eyes. This series will explore the great depths of Scripture pertaining to the Sabbath day rest that we can have every single day in Christ. Rest for our souls! Not just rest from physical labor one day out of the week. It will also compare the differences between the letter of the law and the Spirit of the law. The law under the Old Covenant was written on stones, but under the New Covenant we must have the law written on fleshly tables of our hearts. We must be born again in order to enter God's rest (the eternal Sabbath day rest that the Old Testament was referring to)! We keep the sabbath day law by resting in Christ every single day.
