From Little Faith to Great Faith by Pastor John Hagee
Faith isn’t static—it grows as we walk through life’s storms. In Matthew’s Gospel, Jesus repeatedly addresses “little faith” when people are overwhelmed by fear, worry, and doubt. Whether the disciples feared drowning in the boat or Peter sank because he lost focus on Jesus, the message is the same: doubt shrinks faith. Yet, Jesus doesn’t condemn—it’s His hand that lifts Peter from sinking. He teaches us that the fight of faith begins with trusting Him, especially when we don’t understand.

On the other hand, Jesus marveled at those with great faith—the centurion who understood Jesus’ authority and the Gentile woman who pleaded with persistence. Their faith wasn’t rooted in religion but in revelation. They recognized who Jesus was and believed in His power to heal. Great faith isn’t about perfection—it’s about persistence, obedience, and bold trust. You don’t arrive at giant-killing faith overnight. You fight one battle at a time, each one strengthening your belief. Keep showing up, keep trusting, and your little faith will grow into something great.
