This Sunday the sermon is from 1 Kings 18:41-46 – “Lord, Didn’t It Rain!”. “…for there is the sound of the rushing of rain.” – 1 Kings 18:41

Can you imagine living through a 3.5-year drought? Can you envision the relief and pure exhilaration of hearing rain after a such a period of drought, famine and starvation? Well, Elijah responded appropriately to God’s mercy in finally sending the rain. He “…bowed himself down on the earth and put his face between his knees.” (1 Kings 18:42) May God grant us a similar posture of worship as we navigate the trials of life through his grace and strength.
