This Sunday the sermon is from 1 Kings 22:13-28 – “The Cost of Being a Prophet”. “As the Lord lives, what the Lord says to me, that I will speak.” – 1 Kings 22:14

Micaiah faithfully and courageously proclaimed the word of the Lord. He suffered for it. King Ahab hated him and Zedekiah struck him on the cheek. He was imprisoned and placed on starvation rations. But he left on the pages of Scripture a legacy of faithfulness and courage. Our churches and our nation need faithful messengers of the word of the Lord like Micaiah.
