Our second lesson from the pit is integrity. As David calls out in Psalm
7, he asks God to arise and make a judgment. And he does so in the confidence of integrity as he resides in the pit. What a challenging and beautiful virtue to possess. Do you have integrity? It is a wholeness and righteousness of heart that vindicates you before God. And while it is not the guarantee of innocence, it is a position of rest before God as you dwell in the pit and wait for Him to lift you out.
