In this video we will examine the first and second chapters of 2 Peter to see the very clear warning to born again believers to not be led astray with false doctrine causing them to become entangled in bondage to sin again and overcome. To say that it is impossible for a born again believer to lose their salvation is to overlook the very clear declaration in God's Word that it was a current reality when Peter wrote that it had happened according to the true proverb, "the dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire." We must be born again and we must take heed to God's Word regarding the necessity of how we must continue to abide in Jesus Christ and live a life of victory by His grace through walking after the Spirit and not after the flesh. We must live a life of self-denial and grow in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. The doctrine of Perseverance of the Saints, also known as Once Saved Always Saved doctrine is a deadly doctrine that comforts people in their sin and tells them that their sin can't separate them from God. Nothing could be further from the truth!
