The Prophets of Samaria prophesied by Ba’al and led the Israelites astray. They did not directly instruct them to follow foreign gods. They simply led them away with benign discourse. A hint here, something that appeared to be “just fun” there. There was passive condoning of individual acts. Soon these acts became custom. But, they did not mention the one true God. They were not focused on the One True God. And then the parties entered the church … “just something for the “kids” to do while the outside world is practicing sin.” Where is the line?
