So far we have seen 4 out of the 6 woes of judgment that Isaiah has spoken to Israel and Judah. First we saw the woe to the greedy who buy and build and try to control all those around them with their possessions. Then we saw the woe to the partiers and social alcoholics, for their focus on having a good time, not looking at the things of God, but rather satisfying their flesh. Next we saw the woe to those who are arrogant in their defiance against the Lord to the point of saying let’s see this counsel or judgment from a Holy God. Tonight we will cover the last two woes. All of this judgment has come because of Israel’s disobedience and rebellion. We have seen the comparison between Isaiah’s time and ours. We will continue to look at these parallels as we go through this study tonight.
