The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust Him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.-Psalm 28:7
We won't be accepted by everyone on the face of this planet. Sometimes even our own family will try to disown and/or reject us in front of many people. But when we trust in the Lord's plans for us, it doesn't matter what others think of us. We are meant for greater things. Some will even get a brief preview of what the Lord has in store for us. They'll get jealous and even try to derail us from the path the Lord has put us on.
But ready for the news flash? Those same people who rejected and disrespected you will come back, running to you asking for help in some shape, way, and form. Of course don't use that opportunity to reject them back. Joseph didn't harm his brothers after they had sold him for a few coins. He fed them and their families, and gave them a home in Egypt during a crisis. In the book of Judges, Jephthah helped the people of Israel defeat the Ammonites after his brothers had rejected him just because his mother was a prostitute.
When your enemies come back into your life seeking your assistance, and hoping that you pray for them, ask the Holy Spirit to give you the capacity to help them. The Lord will put you in a position in life where you'll be able to help your allies, families, and even persecutors.
But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!-Matthew 5:44
