Morning Bible and Coffee
This is Jeremiah from Sanctuary Family Farms. In Luke 15:3-7 it says, “And He spake this parable unto them saying, ‘What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbors, saying unto them, ‘Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.’ I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.”
This scripture is telling us that no matter where we are at in our lives. No matter how low we think we are, He will always be there, waiting for us. There is a catch though. In order for him to find us, we must repent and make him lord of our life. This means that we have to live our life as He did. One of the last instructions to his disciples is in John 15:12, “This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you.”
So how do we know if we love one another? In 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 it says, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
I encourage you this week to love the way Paul tells us to love in Corinthians. Hope you have a meaningful week.
