We do not have to live in darkness, Jesus is the Light of the world, and the only way to come out of darkness is in and through Him.

He is the Light of the World, He was sent by His Father as The Light, to pull us out of Darkness. We must believe in Him, repent, and confess, so that He can change us for the good.

Jesus is in another dialogue with the pharisees who challenges publicly, He tells the people that He is the Light of the World.
