#DivineName

Those who believe the New Testament did not originally contain the divine name in Old Testament quotations which use it therefore believe the New Testament writers, and Jesus, misquoted the Old Testament (Matthew 4:5-10; Romans 14:11. Why? Because all available texts from and before the first century CE for the text of the Old Testament contain the divine name.

Further, these same people who believe the New Testament writers misquoted the Old Testament’s use of the divine name also reject Jesus is the Messiah foretold in Micah 5:2-4, because it teaches explicitly the Messiah would “stand and shepherd his flock” (= his followers, the subsequent writers of much of the the New Testament…) “in the name of Jaho(h)-ah his God,” NOT “the LORD his God,” as is wrongly presented in morally bankrupt English translations like the New International Version.
