Job turns from talking with the friends to talking with God directly. The man wants for God to turn suffering away from him and for God to allow Job to approach the Almighty. Job does not want punishment for past sins, but God doesn't hold past sins against us. Once a sin is forgiven, it is forgiven. No more will the sin require punishment any longer. You are forgiven completely. What we want is for our Lord not to forgive that which is already forgiven but to remove all evil from us that we may live with Him.
