Job recalled how he was happy and prosperous, honored by the town council, revered as a severe and honest judge, and champion of all the unfortunate. But this was only the introduction to his three part speech. In chapter 29 he fondly remembered his past, in this text (30) Job compares his sunny past to his gloomy present.
