The Father was in the world but the world did not know Him. "He was in the world and the world came to be through Him and the world DID NOT KNOW HIM." John 1:10. O righteous FATHER, although the world has NOT KNOWN YOU yet I have known You. John 17:25. See how great a love THE FATHER has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God, and we are. For this reason the world does not know us because THE WORLD DID NOT KNOW HIM. 1 John 3:1

John the Baptist prepared the way for the Father, the God of Israel, the God of the Israelite Jesus, the Father who did His mighty works through the man Jesus. The Father was here in the world abiding in the man Jesus speaking His words through Jesus and doing His mighty works through the man Jesus. Acts 2:22.

He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him (1:11) because they are of the world and did not know Him. God the Father's own did not receive him. His own was Israel, God's own possession. On the other hand, those who did receive Him (v.12) were the Good Shepherd's sheep (10:14), those He gave to Jesus, and they are not of the world (13:1), the world that did not receive the Father.
