Jesus said, “In the world, ye shall have tribulation” (John 16:33). Most of us know this to be all too true. Trials can arise in almost any area: health, family, finances, career, and more. Sometimes trouble comes because of bad choices we have made, though we may be reluctant to admit it. At other times, trouble is brought by other people, by forces beyond our control, or by Satan. God permits these things to occur, and we naturally wonder why.
Rather than blame God or even Satan for our troubles, we should seek to profit from them. This does not mean evil is good, but merely that God even uses evil to bring about our ultimate good ( Bible Expositor and Illuminator Union Gospel Press, Winter Quarter 2021-22).
