Joshua 21:44-45
And the LORD gave them rest on every side, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers, and no one of all their enemies stood before them; the LORD gave all their enemies into their hand. Not one of the good promises which the LORD had made to the house of Israel failed; all came to pass.

• As Joshua allotted the land to the various tribes, he was reminded that God had promised to bring the children of Israel to Canaan and divide the land for all of them. Israel’s enemies were all subdued with God’s help and the Jewish people settled in. Some people see this as the fulfillment of the promise of Genesis 15 where the ultimate boundaries were given, but it is more in line with the promise of Numbers 34, also keeping in mind that the Bible tells us that Israel’s boundaries would change throughout history until the final boundaries are realized in the millennial kingdom. In the meantime, the One who watches Israel never slumbers nor sleeps and all attempts at stopping Him will utterly fail.
