Covenant Sidetracking Deception (Joshua 9:3–27). When we see only the outward appearance, we fail to discern the motives of people who are of this world. The people of God are set aside by and for the LORD to accomplish his purposes. The people of God are to be cautious about covenanting with the agendas of this world.
