[3] ...we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; [4] And patience, experience; and experience, hope: [5] And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

God sends trials our way so that He can refine us as pure gold. As we go through trials, God is sanctifying His children so that He can change us to be more like Jesus.

Trials increase our patience as we learn to pray and wait on God to work all things out for us in His perfect timing. We learn to be patient as we endure sufferings, leaning hard on the everlasting arms of our Heavenly Father. (Deuteronomy 33:27)

Trials allow us to experience God’s power in our lives as He delivers us from our troubles and comforts us by His Word and His constant presence with us.

Our past experiences deepen our hope in God as we trust His faithfulness and love towards us. God will never tempt us above what we can bear and He will provide a way of escape for us.(1 Corinthians 10:13)

God the Holy Spirit dwells permanently in all believers of Jesus and in times of trial, He is there to comfort and remind us of God’s love for us. The Spirit’s sword to defend and encourage us is God’s Word so it is important for us to read and remember the words of God in the Bible.

God will reward us in heaven for enduring tribulations (James 1:12). Always stay your mind on Christ and you will have perfect peace. (Isaiah 26:3)
