Today’s Verse: Exodus 17:1–2 (NKJV)
“Then all the congregation of the children of Israel set out on their journey from the Wilderness of Sin, according to the commandment of the Lord, and camped in Rephidim; but there was no water for the people to drink. Therefore the people contended with Moses, and said, ‘Give us water, that we may drink.’ So Moses said to them, ‘Why do you contend with me? Why do you tempt the Lord?’”

God did not lead Israel out of Egypt to abandon them in the desert. He saved them, guided them, and promised to provide for them. Yet when they faced trials, they panicked, complained, and turned on Moses instead of crying out to God. We often do the same—trying to manipulate or blame instead of trusting the One who delivers.

Has God led you out of your old life? Then He will not forsake you now. The same God who began a good work in you will finish it. When you feel dry, thirsty, or desperate, don’t waste your breath on complaint—turn your heart and prayers to Him. He knows what you need, and He is faithful to provide.

So today, trade your complaints for prayer. Trust the God who delivers, and let your thirst drive you closer to Him.
