Today’s Verse: Psalm 119:28 (NKJV)
“My soul melts from heaviness; strengthen me according to Your word.”

The psalmist doesn’t hide his struggle—his soul feels crushed, melting under the weight of life. And yet, he knows where to turn: not to distraction, not to escape, but to the Word of God. Only Scripture has the power to strengthen the weary heart and lift the crushed spirit.

You may feel poured out today, like water disappearing into the cracks of the ground. Pressures, responsibilities, and struggles can make it seem as though there’s nothing left to give. But God’s Word is living and powerful—it restores, renews, and fills what is empty.

So today, when heaviness weighs on your soul, open His Word. Let its truth speak life over you. Let its promises hold you up. And let the God of Scripture strengthen you according to His eternal Word.
