Today’s Verse: Isaiah 5:20–21 (NKJV)
“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!”
We live in a day when God’s warning through Isaiah is on full display. Evil is celebrated, while good is mocked. Darkness is paraded as light, and truth is twisted until it looks like a lie. But God’s people are called to stand firm, to call things what they truly are according to His Word, not according to the shifting opinions of culture.
It is not enough to merely “believe.” We are called to obey. To follow Christ is to live as salt and light, even when the world ridicules, rejects, or persecutes us for it. Obedience is not oppression; it is protection. Just as a parent warns a child not to touch a hot stove, God calls us to obey for our good, our safety, and our blessing.
So today, choose obedience. Reject the world’s false wisdom and cling to God’s unchanging truth. Walk in His light, speak His Word, and live in a way that brings glory to the One who has saved you.
