Today’s Verse: 1 Timothy 1:5 (NKJV)
“Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith.”

Paul reminds us that all of God’s commands point us to one thing—love. Not shallow love, not self-serving love, but love that flows from a pure heart, a clean conscience, and a sincere faith. This kind of love is not manufactured by effort; it is the fruit of God’s Spirit working in us.

A pure heart comes from being washed by Christ. A good conscience comes from walking in the light, free from guilt and shame. A sincere faith comes from trusting fully in Jesus alone, not in ourselves or anyone else. When these are in place, love becomes both the evidence and the overflow of our lives.

So today, let your life be marked by this kind of love. Pray that God would purify your heart, cleanse your conscience, and deepen your faith. Then live out His love in a way that points others to Christ.
