Today’s Verse: Luke 24:32 (NKJV)
“And they said to one another, ‘Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?’”

After His resurrection, Jesus walked with two disciples on the road to Emmaus. They didn’t recognize Him at first, but as He opened the Scriptures to them, their hearts began to burn within them. Only later did they realize it was Jesus who had been with them all along.

That same moment happens to us when we open God’s Word with expectation. The Spirit of God still ignites hearts today through the Scriptures, through prayer, through sudden moments of awe when His presence becomes undeniable. He draws us close, gives us glimpses of His glory, and stirs a longing to know Him more deeply.

So today, ask the Lord to make your heart burn again. Pray that He would open His Word to you and to those who don’t yet know Him.
