Today’s Verse: James 4:8 (NKJV)
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”

This verse is both an invitation and a promise. God calls us to come near, not in fear or formality, but in love and repentance. As we take one step toward Him, He moves toward us with mercy and grace.

To draw near means to turn from what defiles, to cleanse our hands from sin, and to purify our hearts from divided affections. We can’t hold on to the world and walk closely with God at the same time. He calls us to choose Him fully.

So today, make that choice. Push aside distractions. Repent of anything that has distanced you from the Lord. Come near to Him in prayer, and He will meet you there faithfully, lovingly, and powerfully.
