Today’s Verse: 2 Kings 6:16–17 (NKJV)
“So he answered, ‘Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.’ And Elisha prayed, and said, ‘Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.’ Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”

Fear blinds us to the reality of God’s presence. Gehazi, Elisha’s servant, only saw the enemy surrounding them until the prophet prayed for his eyes to be opened. Suddenly, he could see the truth—the armies of heaven had already surrounded the armies of earth.

We are quick to ask, “Where was God when I was hurt? Where was God when loss came?” But Scripture reminds us that His presence does not mean the absence of trials. It means His purposes are certain, whether through deliverance in this life or deliverance into eternity.

So today, pray for open eyes. Ask the Lord to help you see beyond fear, beyond the immediate trial, and into the reality of His unseen hand at work. His angels surround you. His Spirit is with you. And His promises will never fail.
