Today’s Verse: Hebrews 12:1 (NKJV)
“Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.”

The Christian life is not a casual stroll; it’s a race. And to run well, we must lay aside two things: every weight and every sin. Weights are not always sinful; they can be good things that have become distractions or idols, hobbies, ambitions, or even relationships that slow us down spiritually. Sin, on the other hand, entangles and traps us, keeping us from running freely in the strength of Christ.

God calls us to identify and release anything that hinders our pursuit of Him. We cannot run forward if we are bound by what we refuse to let go of. Freedom comes through repentance, surrender, and renewed focus on Jesus, the One who sets the pace and sustains us to the finish line.

So today, lay it all before Him, the burdens, distractions, and hidden sins. Ask God to free you from what weighs you down and to strengthen you to run with endurance the race He has set before you. The finish line is worth every step.
