Today’s Verse: Acts 5:3–4, 9 (NKJV)
“But Peter said, ‘Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? … You have not lied to men but to God.’ … Then Peter said to her, ‘How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord?’”

In Acts 5, the early church faced a sobering moment when Ananias and Sapphira lied to the Holy Spirit. Their deceit wasn’t simply about money; it was about integrity before God. They misrepresented the truth, pretending to give everything while holding back part, and the Holy Spirit struck them dead. Scripture says, “Great fear came upon all the church.”
We need that same reverence today. God is merciful, but He is also just.

He has not changed. In a world that normalizes exaggeration, gossip, and deception, especially online, He still calls His people to holiness and truth. To “fear the Lord” means to walk in awe of His presence, aware that He hears every thought and knows every motive.

So today, ask God to cleanse your lips, your heart, and your mind. Repent of every hidden lie, every careless word, every false appearance. Let your speech be few, your words truthful, and your heart reverent before Him.
