Proverbs 30:24-28

24 “Four things on earth are small,
yet they are extremely wise:

25 Ants are creatures of little strength,
yet they store up their food in the summer;
26 hyraxes are creatures of little power,
yet they make their home in the crags;
27 locusts have no king,
yet they advance together in ranks;
28 a lizard can be caught with the hand,
yet it is found in kings’ palaces.

God wants us to thrive. He tells us "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth ( 3John 2)". “But how can we thrive? We are too small, weak and lacking in wisdom. It is not easy even to survive.” If that’s what you are thinking, this message is for you. God makes you not only survive but thrive by putting His wisdom into you. Wisdom is what makes us survive and thrive, not muscle power or size.

If we have His wisdom, we can be sufficiently surviving and thriving even in the most hostile world. Today's passage shows proof of the truth. Today's passage talks about four little animals which at first seem so difficult to survive in the world where the survival of the fittest is the norm. They look too small to compete with the bigger creatures in the jungle of life. But When these little creatures are equipped with God-given wisdom. They can survive and thrive. Little Ants know how to survive the severe winter even though they cannot get food because God gave them the wisdom to work hard during the summer. They know the time to work. Hyraxes, though small they are, know how to protect themselves from the stronger animals, for God gave them the wisdom to build their house in the crags. Locusts know how to live together and work together, for God has given them the wisdom to do that. Lizard, as though it is an ugly little animal, knows how to get into the king's palace where only noble people can enter. How? God gave them the wisdom to know the secret way. Wisdom made these four little animals survive and thrive better than any gigantic creatures. That’s why we need wisdom. And God is willing to give you wisdom freely and abundantly if you only ask( James 1:5). And If you have wisdom, you are a little giant. Are you feeling small in the world? What makes you feel small? Don’t feel small. Just go to God and ask God for His wisdom. You are indeed a little giant. Amen!
