It is hard in moments when we're disrespected, slighted, or attacked to not respond in kind, insult for insult, blow for blow. Yet it is perhaps the most potent demonstration of the transforming power of the gospel which God can use to open the eyes of and save those who are attacking us. Not only that, it’s also part of our Christian calling. We are called for salvation. We are called out of the kingdom of darkness and into God’s kingdom of marvelous light.
Part of this calling is not only unity, sympathy, brotherly love, and compassion among the saints, Christians. But we are called to bless those in the watching world around us—even our enemies and those who attack us.
Check out this week's sermon as we continue our walk through 1 Peter and unpack what living that leads to blessing both in this life and eternity, looks like.
