Luke 14: 25-27) - WHO DO WE VALORIZE MORE? WHO GAVE US SALVATION? OR THE THOSE WE LOVE IN THIS WORLD
And a great multitude went with him; and turning, he said to him,
If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters and his own life, he can not be my disciple.
And whosoever shall not bear his cross, and come not after me, he can not be my disciple.
(Luke 14: 25-27)
Dear brothers in Christ, it is with great joy that we are studying the word of God together with you, in the presence of the CREATOR OF HEAVEN AND EARTH, in the presence of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, and in the presence of the HOLY SPIRIT.
When OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST began his ministry, HE summoned twelve men to participate in his ministry, HE called this function of each one, of discipleship.
That they are followers, and executors of what they are following. However, the disciples when they came to JESUS CHRIST had other aspirations. They thought that the MASTER was going to install his KINGDOM here on earth. And because not in Jerusalem, so much did they always dispute who would be greater in the KINGDOM that was about to be installed.
At one point the mother of two of her disciples came to Jesus and asked the MASTER to place one of her children on the right, and another on her left when her KINGDOM INSTALLED HERE ON THIS LAND.
When Jesus answered, "YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU SAY." He was seeing the naivety of the people who were accompanying him. But Christ could not explain that the KINGDOM that He was installing was spiritual.
And it had nothing to do with the natural realm of this world. But JESUS continued to prepare these people, not for the material realm, but for the SPIRITUAL KINGDOM. So much so that in today's language, the record only fell to them, after Christ was resurrected. It was there that they understood that the KINGDOM that Christ so much talked about was only spiritual.
But JESUS CHRIST did not fail to pass on all responsibility to those who followed him.
In today's study, chapter 14 of Luke, verse 25 to 27. JESUS gave everyone the complicity that each one would have to have, with the cause he was embracing. What they should put first, or that they give priority to the cause of the SPIRITUAL KINGDOM. And also to the king of the SPIRITUAL KINGDOM, which is JESUS CHRIST.
Then HE speaking to a great multitude, HE said thus: "IF SOMEONE SHALL COME TO ME, AND HATH NOT HAVE HIS FATHER, AND MOTHER, AND WOMAN, AND CHILDREN, AND BROTHERS, AND SISTER, AND STILL ALSO TO HIS OWN LIFE, CAN NOT BE MY DISCIPLE ".
In verse 27, HE said, "AND ANYONE THAT DID NOT CARRY ON HIS CROSS, AND DID NOT COME AFTER ME, CAN NOT BE MY DISCIPLE." See, dear brothers in CHRIST, how JESUS CHRIST emphasized the basic needs of those who are part of the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.
It is necessary to place the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, and its KING, above our own life. The disciples did not understand this until when Jesus Christ rose from the dead and went to heaven. They only understood the real importance of the KINGDOM OF HEAVENS, after they were alone, without the master. And the WORD OF GOD reports that they all died for the GOSPEL.
The Apostle James was the first martyr of the Gospel after CHRIST, died stoned. in the Book of James, it is recorded that the Apostle Peter died crucified upside down, on a cross in Rome.
Now we understand that they came to the understanding that the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN was more important to them than their own lives, than their own families, than any wealth. They emptied themselves of the value they knew of the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.
We of the LIBERTOS BY THE LOVE OF CHRIST, we also understand the importance of the KINGDOM OF HEAVENS. And that the KINGDOM OF HEAVENS, for us is above riches, is above any social position, is above our family, and is above our own life.
And we are passing these spiritual values to ONE MILLION PEOPLE, and that all are well aware, and conscious of their responsibility in the greatness of the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, and of their KING.
AMEN GLORY TO GOD.
