(Luke 22: 40-46) - ORAI, SO THAT YOU SHALL NOT ENTER INTO TEMPTATION.
And when he came to the place, he said unto them, Pray, that ye enter not into temptation.
And he was parted from them about a stone's throw; and, kneeling down, praying,
Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me; nevertheless not my will be done, but thine.
And there appeared unto him an angel from heaven, who strengthened him.
And in agony he prayed more earnestly. And his sweat became like great drops of blood, which ran to the ground.
And rising up from the prayer, he came to his disciples, and found them asleep with sorrow.
And he said unto them, Why are ye asleep? Arise, and pray, that ye enter not into temptation. (Luke 22: 40-46)

People want SALVATION, and they look for the most correct formula to achieve it. Many seek knowledge about what they should and should not do. When they discover that they can not do it, it is to let the enemy of God, the devil, dominate him, and make him fall into temptation.

How could the devil make someone fall into temptation?
Of course, when we can not do something that harms us, but our appetite is very strong on this something, we call it temptation, for example, when we can not eat sweetness, because we suffer some illness. And we come across the candy, we know we can not eat. Because it will harm our health, so we call it the sweet temptation.

So the devil knows the things we like, the things that attract us, but we know they can cause us ills. The devil presents us and convinces us that we can taste only a little, a little does not hurt. And it is the way the enemy of GOD uses to separate us from GOD. Because when we associate with the things of the world, we become disconnected from God.
In today's study, we will see what JESUS CHRIST said, moments before being arrested, and be condemned. JESUS went out to pray, and his suffering was so cruel, so strong that his sweat turned into sage drops. And Jesus returning to the disciples, said to them, "PRAY THAT YOU CAN NOT ENTER INTO TEMPTATION." And Jesus departed again from them, small distance, here in verse 41, he said distance from a stone's shot with medium strength.

In verse 46, Jesus again, returning to them, said to them, "WHY ARE YOU SLEEPING? I RAISED YOU, AND PRAY, SO THAT YOU SHALL NOT ENTER INTO TEMPTATION." See, dear brothers, in that moment of anguish of the LORD JESUS, the disciples were unaware of their suffering, and were more connected to their own realities than at the moment that Christ was living.

And JESUS knowing that he would be killed, and would certainly be absent from the disciples, even in affliction, tried to guide him: "PRAY, THAT YOU SHALL NOT ENTER INTO TEMPTATION." Why did Jesus ask not to enter into temptation?

Because temptation destroys people, separating them from GOD.
Dear brothers, JESUS meant that the only way to avoid temptation is through prayer, prayer is what binds us to God, and temptation disconnects us from GOD. So JESUS continues today saying: "PRAY, AND WATCH, THAT YOU SHALL NOT FALL INTO TEMPTATION".

We of the LIBERTOS FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST, we understand that the solution to remain connected to CHRIST, and linked to GOD, is through prayer, prayer is the greatest act of FAITH, and prayer keeps us connected to God, and when we are connected to God, the devil can not make us fall into temptation.

AMEN GLORY TO GOD
