(Luke 24: 46-49) - THOSE WHO PREGNATE THE GOSPEL, NEED TO PUT ON POWER.
And he said unto them, Thus it is written, and it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise again from the dead the third day,
And in his name should repentance and remission of sins be preached in all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
And of these things are ye witnesses.
And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you; but remain in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be clothed with power from on high.
(Luke 24: 46-49)
Dear brothers in Christ, it is with great joy that we are studying the word of God together with you, in the presence of the CREATOR OF HEAVEN AND EARTH, in the presence of the LORD JESUS, and in the presence of the HOLY SPIRIT.
God, for many years, sent the prophets to convey the story of SALVATION. The story of good versus evil, convey the true story of GOD, of Lucifer, and of human beings.
There is no way to tell the story of this world without the three main characters in this story.
While GOD works to transform man, from citizen of the world to citizen of the KINGDOM OF GOD, God's enemy works to keep man trapped in HIM.
To free man, GOD effected the PLAN OF SALVATION. And this plan began with the prophets. And the prophets already advised that one day would come the MESSIAH, THE SAVIOR.
In a space of time, about four thousand years. History heralded the coming of the Messiah. The day came when the SAVIOR really arrived. But people thought HE would be powerful when he arrived, would have a top position, and would draw everyone's attention to himself.
However, HE was born poor in a manger, and the Bible says that the LORD JESUS had nowhere to lay his head. HE says thus: "THE BIRDS OF THE SKIES HAVE THE NEST, THE FOXES HAVE THEIR COVES, BUT THE SON OF THE MAN, HAVE NOT WHERE HE TAKES HEAD."
But HE came to show that power is not in greatness. But in humility. For those who have riches do not need the KINGDOM OF GOD.
Elsewhere HE said, "EVANGEHO CAME TO BE PRIESTED TO THE POOR." It is true that He was referring to the poor in two ways. The poor materially, and the spiritually poor.
Today we are studying the Gospel of Luke, only in chapter 24, and in verse 46 to 49.
JESUS had already been resurrected, had already had contact with several people. And they were not understanding what had happened, for they did not understand the scriptures. But Jesus, making him remember, said, "YOU DID NOT READ IN THE SCRIPTURES, THAT THE SON OF MAN SHOULD DIE, AND ON THIRD DAY, WILL HE RUSH?"
It was there that his eyes were opened, and he understood all the scriptures. For all that was written said about the person of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. When they understood that the LORD JESUS was the true Messiah, they understood that until then, they did not know exactly who the LORD JESUS was.
Then they became witnesses to everything that happened. And the Lord Jesus, made them understand that the mission of JESUS CHRIST had ended here on earth, and that from that hour on. It was only the disciples who were to begin the preaching of the Gospel.
JESUS instructed them that the CHRIST would suffer, would die, and on the third day would rise again. That in his name all might receive the opportunity of salvation.
Then Jesus asked them not to leave Jerusalem, because there was already a promise from the Father to send the HOLY SPIRIT to stand in the place of the LORD JESUS, and on the right date the HOLY SPIRIT would arrive, and then they all would put on POWER, that they might preach the gospel with power.
And in the book of Acts of the Apostles, in chapter 2, it speaks of the descent of the HOLY SPIRIT on the apostles, then on that day that was called PENTECOSTE DAY, they received the HOLY SPIRIT, and all of them were clothed with power from this Everyone understood that they should preach the GOSPEL OF SALVATION BEGINNING FOR JERUSALEM.
So the gospel began to be preached in Jerusalem, and today, we have the Gospel preached throughout the world.
But in order for the Gospel to continue to be preached, it is necessary to raise up men like the disciples, to prepare and receive the HOLY SPIRIT, and to become full of power, so that the GOSPEL may be preached by these people who are being called now .
As the disciples were clothed with POWER, so also today's preachers, who are also preachers of JESUS, need the HOLY SPIRIT to put on POWER, because JESUS said, "AND THESE SIGNS WILL FOLLOW THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN MY NAME, WILL EXPOSE THE DEMONS, SPEAKING NEW LANGUAGES, HEALING THE SICK, AND EATING SOMETHING DEADLY, SHALL NOT DAMAGE SOME, AND IF THEY ARE BITNESSED BY SERPENTS, THEY WILL NOT ALSO DAMAGE SOME ".
Dear brothers in Christ, we are addressing this issue today because every Christian is a disciple of the Lord
