As we take up in Matthew 18 we now go full throttle with Jesus on the way to the cross in the upcoming Passover Feast. And of course, His disciples were traveling with Him, but they had a very different mindset. He was preparing for the agony of the cross and being separated from the Father for the first time in eternity in order to pay for the sins of the world. While they still believed He was about to establish His earthly throne and that they would all be ruling the earth with Him.
